Scalp Micropigmentation Process Step by Step.
The scalp micropigmentation process moves step by step from consultation and hairline planning to treatment, healing and follow-up. Your plan is customized around your scalp, hair loss, existing hair and desired result.
How The Scalp Micropigmentation Process Works.
Scalp micropigmentation is a cosmetic treatment that uses carefully placed pigment impressions to recreate the visual appearance of closely shaved hair follicles or add the appearance of density in thinning areas. The process is customized to the treatment area, skin, existing hair, hairline design, pigment color and the result you want to achieve.
It Starts With Your Goals.
Your consultation gives us the opportunity to understand what you want to change and determine the right approach for your scalp.
We talk through your desired style, hairline, density and overall result.
We evaluate the areas of thinning, recession, balding or scarring that you want treated.
Your artist recommends a treatment approach based on your scalp and the result you want to achieve.
Ask Questions. Understand The Process.
We will walk you through the treatment, expected result, aftercare and what happens during your appointments before your treatment begins.
Your Hairline. Your Approval.
Before treatment begins, we document your starting point, design the treatment area and make sure you are comfortable with the plan.
Before Photos
We photograph your scalp before treatment so you have a clear record of your starting point and can compare your progress.
Hairline & Treatment Design
Your artist carefully maps the hairline or treatment area. You see the design and approve it before we move forward.
Treatment Begins
Once the design is approved, pigment impressions are carefully placed to build the appearance of natural follicles, depth and density.
Treatment Doesn’t End When You Leave.
Healing is part of the SMP process. Your artist remains available after treatment to evaluate how the impressions settle and determine whether anything needs to be refined.
You receive instructions for protecting the scalp while the treatment heals.
We review the healed result and identify areas that may need additional density or refinement.
Your treatment can be refined over additional sessions as needed to complete the result.
What Happens Between SMP Sessions?
Most treatment plans are completed over multiple visits so the scalp can be evaluated as the pigment impressions settle. The exact number and timing of sessions can vary according to the treatment area, skin response and the amount of refinement needed.
Initial Session
The first layer establishes the treatment pattern, hairline or density approach and gives your artist a foundation to evaluate.
Healing & Evaluation
The scalp is allowed to settle before the next stage. Your artist evaluates how the treatment has healed before adding more density or making refinements.
Layering & Refinement
Additional impressions can be layered where needed to balance density, blending and the overall appearance of the finished SMP.
Your Treatment Includes More.
Treatment Sessions Included
The sessions required to complete your agreed treatment plan are included rather than priced as separate treatment sessions.
