Welcome to Michael Angelo SMP! These Terms and Conditions outline the policies and procedures for receiving Scalp Micro Pigmentation (SMP) services at our studio. By booking an appointment or undergoing treatment, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Informed Consent

Scalp Micro Pigmentation (SMP) is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that involves the application of pigment to the scalp to create the appearance of hair follicles. By proceeding with treatment, you acknowledge and understand the following:

  • SMP is an elective procedure with no medical necessity.
  • The procedure may cause discomfort, and there is a risk of infection, allergic reactions, scarring, or dissatisfaction with results.
  • Results vary by individual, and multiple sessions (typically 2-3) may be required to achieve the desired outcome.
  • You must follow all aftercare instructions to ensure proper healing and optimal results.

2. Age Requirement

SMP services are only available to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Valid proof of age (e.g., driver’s license or ID) will be required before treatment.

3. Medical History

Clients must disclose all relevant medical history, including allergies, skin conditions, medical conditions, and current medications. Michael Angelo SMP reserves the right to refuse treatment if your medical history indicates that SMP may pose a risk to your health.

4. Patch Test

A patch test is required at least 24-48 hours before your procedure to check for allergic reactions. If you refuse the patch test or if an adverse reaction occurs, the procedure will not proceed.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. This deposit covers consultation time, preparation, and securing your appointment slot.
  • Cancellations or rescheduling require 48 hours notice. Failure to provide notice will result in a $250 rebooking fee.
  • If you fail to attend your appointment without notice, your deposit will be forfeited.

6. Payment Terms

  • 50% of the total treatment cost is due before the first session, with the remaining balance payable as outlined in your treatment plan.
  • We accept the following payment methods: cash, debit/credit card (a 3% processing fee applies), and certified bank checks.

7. Liability and Guarantees

  • SMP is a semi-permanent procedure, and results cannot be guaranteed.
  • Michael Angelo SMP provides a 12-month guarantee against unforeseen fading, provided you complete all recommended sessions and follow aftercare instructions.
  • The guarantee does not cover dissatisfaction with design, color, or hairline. Touch-ups for design changes may incur additional fees.
  • Clients are responsible for all costs associated with laser removal or correction procedures.

8. Aftercare Instructions

To ensure proper healing and optimal results, clients must follow all aftercare instructions, including:

  • Avoiding sun exposure, swimming, and excessive sweating for 7-10 days.
  • Keeping the treated area clean and moisturized as directed.
  • Avoiding picking, scratching, or traumatizing the treated area.
  • Attending all follow-up appointments as recommended.

Failure to follow aftercare instructions may void any guarantees and result in additional fees for corrections.

9. Photo Release

By undergoing treatment, you consent to the use of before-and-after photos for marketing, training, and educational purposes. Your personal information will not be disclosed without your consent. If you prefer to remain anonymous, please notify us in writing.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from your treatment will be resolved through mediation or arbitration in Austin, Texas, and governed by Texas law.

11. COVID-19 and Health Safety

To ensure a safe environment for all clients and staff, we follow strict health and safety protocols, including sanitization and mask policies. By attending your appointment, you confirm that:

  • You are not experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., fever, cough, shortness of breath).
  • You have not been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 within the last 14 days.

13. Acknowledgment and Consent

By booking an appointment or undergoing treatment, you confirm that:
